TERMS OF LIMITED WARRANTY

Time Limits

All warranties expressed or implied are limited to specific time periods from the date of invoice. In general, the applicable time period is a function of the type of item sold by The Printer Works, Inc.

Printers 6 Months
Major Assemblies (Fusers Etc.) 6 Months
Parts 90 Days

Unless otherwise stated on the invoice, or by special public promotion, or by other supplemental documents or contracts, all limited warranty obligations assumed by The Printer Works, Inc. expire after the above time periods from the date of invoice.

Shipping Costs


During the first 30 days after the invoice date, if a product is found to be defective on arrival (D.O.A.), The Printer Works, Inc. will pay for the ground (not air) shipping costs to send the customer either replacement parts to fix the unit, or a replacement unit, at our option. The Printer Works, Inc. will only ship via airfreight if the customer is willing to pay the cost difference between air and ground rates. The first 30 days after the invoice date is the only time when The Printer Works will pay for any shipping and transportation costs. After the first 30 days The Printer Works, Inc. will not be responsible for any transportation costs to return the item for repair or for refund.

Repair Procedures

The Printer Works, Inc. will attempt to repair items that fail during the warranty period, using the most economical method for The Printer Works, Inc. If the item is small and does not require transportation on a pallet, The Printer Works, Inc. may elect to send a replacement unit via UPS Ground or similar service. If a replacement unit is not available, The Printer Works, Inc. may require that the item be returned to The Printer Works, Inc. for repair. If for some reason the returned item cannot be repaired or replaced for a reasonable price The Printer Works, Inc. will give the customer a refund of only the purchase price. Shipping costs are not refundable.

If the customer is able to identify the defective portion of the item and is willing and able to install replacement parts, then The Printer Works, Inc. may elect to send the customer replacement parts instead of requiring that the item be returned for repair. Any parts sent to the customer for repair will be covered by the terms of our Advance Exchange Program. The Printer Works, Inc. assumes no liabilities related to repairs attempted or performed by its customers.

The Printer Works, Inc. may elect to have a service person (either an employee of The Printer Works, Inc. or an employee of a third party company) visit the machine that requires repair. Any on-site repair fees charged by third parties will only be paid by The Printer Works, Inc. if an authorized manager of The Printer Works, Inc. has pre-approved the total amount of the repair charge in writing before the repair is performed. If no trouble is found with the machine The Printer Works, Inc. may require the customer using the machine to pay for the on-site service charges.

Limitations

All warranties provided by The Printer Works, Inc. are limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price at The Printer Works' option. Return to the customer of either a working item, or return of the purchase price less any shipping costs incurred by The Printer Works, Inc., will be deemed by The Printer Works, Inc. and its customers to fully satisfy any and all warranty obligations assumed by The Printer Works, Inc

The Printer Works, Inc. is not responsible for any damages or financial losses whatsoever, consequential or inconsequential, related to the use, misuse, or performance of any printer, printer assembly, printer accessory, printer part, other part, or other product sold by The Printer Works, Inc. or its dealers or resellers.

The Printer Works, Inc. accepts no liabilities for damages to computer equipment, or any other types of equipment, used in conjunction with printers, printer parts, printer accessories, or other products or other items sold by The Printer Works, Inc.

The Printer Works, Inc. does not provide any warranties on computer or printer supplies. Furthermore, The Printer Works' warranties are void if it deems that damage to items sold by The Printer Works, Inc. have been caused by customer use of defective toner cartridges, ink cartridges, transfer media, label media, or other non-OEM supplies. Any such damages caused by use of non-OEM certified supplies and media are the full responsibility of the customer and not the responsibility of The Printer Works, Inc.

The Printer Works, Inc. warranties are not extensions of any warranties provided by any OEM. If the OEM covers a product sold by The Printer Works, Inc., the customer must go to the OEM for resolution before coming to The Printer Works, Inc.
